Migrating bird stops to rest overnight on my balcony
This little fellow looked exhausted when it first landed on my balcony shortly after dark on Saturday night.
He seemed to be asleep at times, briefly waking up to watch me as I smoked a cigarette, every hour or two throughout the night.
I noticed there was a tag on its right leg, so some scientists, someplace are tracking this, and many other migratory birds.
He slowly woke up in the morning, gradually stretched a few muscles, then with a quick flap it was off and soaring on a southbound breeze at fantastic speeds, and in moment it was out of sight.
