Notes from the underground 2022

 

 Here's my German made Beeman P1 Pellet Pistol...it's a .22 caliber spring piston powered Air pistol that blasts 15 grain lead pellets around 475 fps. I bought this pistol from Pyramydair in Ohio, USA, and imported it into Canada, with the total cost including duty was $700 CDN. This pistol was manufactured to a very high standard of quality, and is worth the amount spent because it I destined to outlive me and whoever has it after I am gone. It's what you might refer to as an heirloom pistol. I have added the black rubber finger groove grip and kept the Colt M1911  factory walnut grip panels, and other than that, this is a stock P1. Wehrauch is the German firearms & Airgun manufacturing company that makes the Beeman P1.

 

 

  Pictured here is the Otis A. Smith Pistol Manufacturing Company located in the Connecticut Valley, the center of mass production during the last half of the 19th century. If you look closely, you will notice that not all the employees are adults, and that there are several youths and younger boys.  Children were employed in every factory, including firearms manufacturers.  No wonder they grew up a lot tougher than the children of today. Times sure have changed.
